The Hamilton Olympic Club is dedicated to Track & Field athletes in the Hamilton area realize their full potential at every level of participation — from youth recreational programs to elite competitive performance. The Hamilton Olympic Club is supported by a dedicated group of volunteers. Operational support from our Board of Directors and our members. Our coaches are committed to providing our athletes with high quality programming and instruction continuously developing their coaching skillsets and knowledge. Our Club provides programs for athletes from age 8 to adult in the various disciplines of track and field. Programs are offered throughout the year with some variability by season. Participation in sport has long been recognized as a powerful contributor to personal development. Research consistently shows that being physically active and engaging in programs that nurture a growth mindset leads not only to improved physical health but also to enhanced mental well-being, self-confidence, and self-worth. The sense of accomplishment an athlete experiences going through the process of pursuing excellence establishes a mindset of learning. At HOC, we aim to help athletes build confidence, embrace mistakes, and learn enough about themselves to chart their own path toward excellence. This philosophy is reflected daily in the experiences of our athletes in training and in competition. Lifelong learning is the goal for our athletes.

As Canada's oldest track and field club, we are powered by a committed team of coaches, volunteers and supported by our Board of Directors to serve our membership. Together, we work to ensure a strong, athlete-centred environment rooted in personal development, community, excellence, and longstanding tradition.

Coaches play a vital role in the process of guiding athletes toward taking ownership of their development. Our coach's goal is to help our athletes build strong, sustainable processes that lead to achievement. We emphasize continuous learning because the mindset cultivated through sport extends far beyond the track. Keep working. Keep learning. Our coaches are devoted to delivering high-quality programming and instruction. They continually expand their coaching knowledge and skill sets to provide athletes with the best possible training experience. We have dedicated, committed and knowledgeable group of coaches committed to providing a positive experience in track and field.

We offer year-round programs for athletes ages 8 through adult, covering a wide range of track and field disciplines. Program offerings vary by season to ensure appropriate training opportunities throughout the year.
